The Maxi-Cosi lora
The Iora is a bassinet that can be placed at the bedside that allows parents to feel more connected to their child while they sleep. It adjusts upwards and downwards and slides through three positions to be placed next to the bed of the parent, or in the corner of the room so that baby is always close at hand. The mesh siding allows air to circulate through, allowing you to see your baby easily. You can also store additional pajamas or other items in the large basket underneath.
The Iora is a bedside crib that is smaller and folds flat. It also comes with a travel bag which allows it to be taken anywhere. Our mum testers found it easy to move from room to room, and believed it was a great size for a bedside cot that was not too big or small. bedside travel cot loved the large storage basket, which is ideal for stowing nappies or bedding.
This is a great choice for parents who want to co-sleep but don't want to share their own beds or whose partners may be prone to mobility issues, such as arthritis or back issues. Our mum testers love the convenience of being able to access their baby in the Iora, and it also has an option to tilt the bed upwards to help with gas.
Our mums love that it follows NICE guidelines. These include placing the infant in a Moses basket or crib on its own without toys, blankets or pillows. They also state that the mattress is comfortable and firm for baby and is easy to find sheets for. It's not as light as some of the smaller cribs on our list, so if you prefer something lighter and easier to move, choose another option.
